SOC Issues Summary

Issue 1: Battery charge level remains at a fixed value

SOC data is transmitted from the inverter. The platform displays this data according to the protocol specified by the inverter manufacturer. Please contact the inverter manufacturer for assistance in configuring the battery parameters.


Issue 2: There are multiple batteries, but data is only visible for one of them

Whether battery data is visible is determined by the battery configuration parameters, which are managed by the vendor. Please contact the inverter manufacturer to verify this.


Issue 3: Why isn’t the charging power displayed for the battery?

SOC data is transmitted from the inverter. You need to verify the current operating status of the battery. If the battery is in a discharging state, the charging power will not be displayed.

Why is there no data for plant analysis?

1、Total Output and Total Consumption
According to the Law of Conservation of Energy, a storage inverter, as a relay system that is neither a power source nor a load, should theoretically have its Total Output equal to its Total Consumption plus internal Loss. That is: Total Output = Total Consumption + Loss Where: Total Output = Production + Energy Purchased + Energy Discharged Total Consumption = Energy Consumed + Energy Feed-in + Energy Charged

2、Regarding Loss
Loss is naturally present in Plant systems. Power analysis considers scenarios where Loss exists, but excessive Loss or excessive Negative loss is abnormal. Note: Negative loss occurs when total consumption exceeds total production, which fundamentally violates the Law of Conservation of Energy. However, due to potential data precision issues, this is only permissible when both the negative loss and total production values are small.

3、Why does the Energy Consumed for the Day in Power analysis differ from the Energy Consumed for the Day shown in the Plant's real-time data?
(1) The Energy Consumed in Power analysis equals the Plant's Electricity Consumption plus Loss, hence a slight difference from the Energy Consumed in the Plant's real-time data.
(2) Data within Power analysis is processed using periodic batch processing, with an update cycle of 5 minutes. Conversely, the Energy Consumed for the Day in the Plant's real-time data is processed via streaming; the Plant updates immediately upon Device data upload. Consequently, a minor discrepancy will exist between the two. This explanation also applies to any differences between the Production for the Day in Power analysis and the Production for the Day in the Plant's real-time data.

4、Under what circumstances are calculations not possible?
Scenario a. Loss is greater than or equal to 10% of Total Output (Production + Energy Purchased + Energy Discharged). Scenario b. A negative loss has occurred, and the negative loss is less than or equal to -1% of Total Output (Production + Energy Purchased + Energy Discharged). Scenario c. A negative loss has occurred, and the negative loss is less than -10% of Total Output (Production + Energy Purchased + Energy Discharged), but the Total Output (Production + Energy Purchased + Energy Discharged) is not within (0, 5kWh).

Scenario d. Any one of the following is missing: Production, Energy Purchased, Energy Discharged, Energy Consumed, Energy Feed-in, Energy Charged.
