Network Settings


Primary Use Cases

1. After adding a new device, network configuration is required before data updates occur.

2. When a device goes offline, network reconfiguration is necessary.

3.I cannot connect the WiFi Data Logger to the Router.


If the logger is equipped with a WiFi module, it is required to operate networking configuration to ensure normal communication.


Go to「Device List」and check if there is "Networking Configuration" button. If not, it means networking configuration is not required.




SOLARMAN Smart App Network Configuration Process (For Devices with Bluetooth)

1. Networking Process

Please use 2.4G network for configuration. 5G network is not supported.

Step 1: Confirm Wi-Fi Info

Please make sure your phone has connected to the right WiFi network and click "Start".


Step 2: Connect to AP network

Go to Phone Settings-WLAN, find the right "AP_XXXXX" network and click "Go to connect".

Go back to SOLARMAN Smart after your phone has connected to AP network.


Step 3: Auto Configuration

Please wait for a while to complete the configuration. System will switch to the Configured Page automatically.

When you go back to 「Device List」, the logger will still at Offline status. Usually, the data will be updated in 10 mins. Please wait patiently.


If configuration failure occurs, please check the following reasons and try it again.

1. Make sure WLAN is ON;

2. Make sure WiFi is normal;

3. Make sure wireless router does not implement the white-black list;

4. Shorten the distance between the phone and device;

5. Try to connect to other Wi-Fi;

6. Remove the special characters(,;‘’=“”`) in Wi-Fi network.

SOLARMAN Business App Network Configuration Process (For Devices with Bluetooth)

1. Go to the "Applications" tab and click on "WiFi Configuration".

2. Ensure your phone is connected to your home WiFi network (it should be the same as the network displayed on the page) and enter the network password. Note: The logger does not support 5G networks; please connect to a 2.4G network.

3. After the system detects the network, follow the prompts to navigate to the WiFi list interface. Locate the correct “AP_XXXXX” network and click "Connect"

4. Enter the AP password during connection. The password can be found on the logger casing.

5. After connecting to the AP, return to SOLARMAN APP. The system will automatically switch to the configuration page

6. Please wait a minute. WiFi configuration will complete successfully. Data typically updates within 10 minutes. Please be patient.
7. If configuration fails, check the following reasons and retry.

Web-Based Network Configuration Process (Applicable to All Scenarios)

Please follow these steps for network connection:

1. Connect to the Data Logger's AP network:

Locate the Data Logger network by opening WLAN on your phone or computer and searching for "AP_". xxxxxxxx" (where xxxxxxx is the Data Logger serial number). 
Connect:
Select and connect to the Data Logger network. The password can be found on the Data Logger.


2. Access Configuration Page:

Open a web browser: After connecting to the Data Logger's AP network, open a web browser on your phone or computer. 
Enter IP Address: In the browser's address bar, enter “10.10.100.254”.
Log In: Enter the username and password “admin”.


3. Run Setup Wizard:

Navigate to Setup Wizard: Locate the “Quick Setup” or “Setup Wizard” option. 
Scan Network: The wizard will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. 
Select Network: Choose the desired Wi-Fi network from the list.
Enter Password: Enter the password for the Wi-Fi network. 
Enable Auto IP: Select 'Enable' to automatically obtain an IP address. 
Click 'Next' and 'OK': Follow the prompts to click 'Next', then click 'OK'. 
Restart: The Data Logger will restart, and you should be able to connect to the Wi-Fi network.



4. Verify Connection:

Re-login: After restarting, re-login to the configuration page (10.10.100.254). 
Check if an IP address has been obtained, if the signal strength is greater than 15, and if the server is connectable. If an IP address cannot be obtained, please try configuring again.
