August SOLARMAN Product Update Announcement

August SOLARMAN Product Update Announcement

Dear User
To further enhance the user experience, the SOLARMAN APP underwent several rounds of product updates in August, covering both the Smart and Business versions. The key updates are announced as follows:

SOLARMAN Smart

1. New feature: Integrated display of equipment alarms in plant status

Products involved: SOLARMAN Smart APP + Web
SOLARMAN Smart Web and the APP now feature a plant-level alarm status display, helping users to quickly identify operational anomalies in the plant.
App:
Status labels are displayed only when the plant is in one of the following states: ‘Connecting’, ‘All devices offline’, ‘Some devices offline’ or ‘Alarms present’; they are not displayed when communication is normal and there are no alarms.

Web interface:
When communication is normal and there are no alarms, ‘Plant normal’ is displayed; when communication is normal but there are alarms, ‘Alarms present’ is displayed; when communication is abnormal, the corresponding communication status is displayed.

2. Addition of status text to the device list

Products affected: SOLARMAN Smart APP
The ‘Device Management’ page of the SOLARMAN Smart APP has been optimised to improve the display of device statuses, with status text added to the existing status indicators.
The status determination logic and colour scheme remain unchanged; only the front-end display format has been optimised.

Revised version:

3. Blocking of already-registered email addresses on the registration page and redirection to login

Products affected: SOLARMAN Smart APP+ Web
Update details: The registration page now performs a preliminary check to determine whether an email address or mobile number has already been registered. For accounts that have already been registered, verification codes will no longer be issued; users will instead be redirected directly to the login page. This prevents confusion between the registration and login paths and reduces the risk of user error.

4. New email verification code reverse verification capability

Products affected: SOLAMRN Business (Web and APP), SOLARMAN Smart (Web and APP)
Some email accounts may fail to receive verification codes in a timely manner due to email delivery delays, email blocking, spam filtering, user email settings or network conditions.
Therefore, a fallback method for email verification codes is provided: where a user has successfully requested a forward verification code at least twice, and verification cannot be completed within 60 seconds after the second or subsequent successful request, the user is permitted to prove control of their email account by proactively sending an email.

SOLARMAN Business

1. Optimisation of the address entry logic for adding plants

Products affected: SOLAMRN Business
This optimisation update improves the location entry logic on the ‘Add Plant’ page, introducing address search and precise map positioning capabilities to replace purely manual text input, thereby enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of address entry.
Locations are automatically populated based on location data, but manual editing is supported.

2. Optimisation of the NMI prompt logic

Products affected: SOLAMRN Business (APP + Web)
Following the optimisation, the platform has standardised the NMI as a non-mandatory field and resolved the issue of repetitive pop-ups, thereby improving the smoothness of the website creation process.
The NMI prompt will now only appear once. Once you click ‘I do not wish to fill this in; continue building my website’ to confirm that you wish to skip it, the NMI prompt will not reappear, even if other validation rules are triggered on the page subsequently.

3. Add a ‘Plant Date’ filter and sort option

Products affected: SOLAMRN Business (APP + Web)
Page: Monitoring – Plants: Move the existing default ‘Plant Name’ sort field to the parameter selection menu and replace it with ‘Date Built’, which will be a permanent option.

4. Integration and optimisation of the plant authorisation process for installers

Optimisation details:
Following the completion of the site build and upgrade, the functionality of the [Add Plant] page has been optimised by upgrading and integrating the existing ‘Authorise End User’ feature to support the authorisation of plants to end users, merchants and internal members, thereby covering a wide range of authorisation scenarios;

5. Modify the SOLAMRN Business region section to include a search box

Products affected: SOLAMRN Business App + Web version
Add a search box to the region section to help users find their region more quickly

6. Optimisation of device registration logic

The existing ‘Application’ – ‘Device Registration’ has been added to ‘Plant – Equipment – Device Registration’, whilst retaining the original ‘Application’ – ‘Device Registration’; the relevant logic remains unchanged;

In conclusion
